Dreamscape: Cloud Bath x Karl Larsson

It isn’t every day when an A-list celeb comes to us with a request that makes us cry tears of joy; pink, glamorous joy.

When this powerhouse of a woman’s team approached us with the potential of helping with gaining partners for her birthday bash at the Santa Monica Pier, our creative strategist and producer went a bit hog-wild in creating a pink dreamscape worthy of her signature aesthetic. Today, we want to walk through what it looked like for our team to make a pre-discovery concept deck which impressed her events team and overall what got us to think out of the box.

Considering all creative people have a process they like to follow with every new client, we have a pre-discovery call and presentation that illustrates our vision and direction. This process includes extensive mood boarding and finding inspiration from others’ unique and creative ideas. Typically, we jump on a call with a client to talk about project scope, priorities, vision, and goals.

In this case, we started by taking the most robust brand standards we’ve literally ever seen and utilized them to map out various opportunities for the event. To be honest, we are still gagged over the sheer size of that brand standards deck; it was indeed a colossal deck (our strategist geeks out over a sick deck). As you can guess, the next step is surfing every social media platform whose currency is photos to manufacture the overall vibe of the event.

 

After this, we begin thinking of the little things that immerse attendees the most. These little things might include gift bags, party favors, and various collaborative product samples. The goal was to feature the celeb’s favorite things and do it in the most familiar way possible. We went hard in the pink for this idea by collecting interesting concepts that people would actually enjoy and use.

 

One final touch included pitching interesting brand moments collaborators could concoct at the event itself. Many were photographable moments or sampling experiences that celebrated the celebrity’s love of the products and provided undeniable brand exposure. We’ve worked with great brands, and we were extremely excited at the idea of pitching these quirky and glamorous concepts to them.

Essentially, we sourced dreamy examples of what a collaborator’s contribution could look like by pairing them together. For example, we include a photo-worthy bathtub setup full of pink suds and gorgeous coloring and pair it with Lush as the experience owner. Another example is the pink dripping benches that, in this case, would have been sponsored by a brand like Coolhaus (we love Coolhaus).

 

We had an absolute blast creating this concept and deck primarily because any opportunity that allows our team to think big is basically a gift. Right in time for the holidays!
